The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection voted unanimously to hold former White House aide Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress after the longtime ally of former President Donald Trump defied a subpoena for documents that would have helped in their investigation.

Trump is trying to stop the committee's work by also directing Bannon & others not to answer questions related to their inquiry. He has filed a lawsuit in his defense, although it doesn't look like that will go far since he was already found guilty of obstruction of justice by the Mueller investigation.

Legislators seem to be in no mood to back down, even while they investigate the attack that left dozens of police officers injured and sent lawmakers running for their lives.
